The digital camera replaced the traditional photo camera, the memory card did the same to film, and now even a nice wooden picture frame threatens to become outdated. The arrival of digital photo frames allows you to display hundreds of pictures in the living room without having to make prints first. However, some consumers do not settle for slide shows; they like to have more possibilities with their picture frame. Toshiba meets this demand by launching the JournE series of digital photo frames. Additional enhancements to SDHC memory card lineup include ultrafast, Class 6 SDHC cards in 8GB and 16GB capacities. Toshiba, a leading innovator in flash memory card technologies and solutions introduced a new memory card line-up with the launch of a 16GB microSDHC card offering the largest capacity available in the market. At the same time, the company extended its range of industry-leading memory card solutions by adding ultra fast read/write 8GB and 16GB SDHC cards to its line-up. Mass production of the new Toshiba SDHC memory cards will start in December, with production of the new Toshiba micro SDHC slated to start in January 2009.

Toshiba’s Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems announced the release of the TLP-XC2000U LCD projector with integrated, advanced CMOS (complementary metal oxide semiconductor) document camera. The projector’s high-quality document camera features a 3-mega pixel resolution, 16X zoom and built-in LED light for capturing 3D images, fine text and microscopic details for big-screen display for a value-price of $1,099 (ESUP). The Toshiba TLP-XC2000U projector with document camera is HDTV/DTV compatible and the lamp life can be extended up to 3,000 hours in Eco-Mode for energy and cost savings.

Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc., a committed leader that collaborates with technology companies to create breakthrough designs, announced sample availability for a new line of ultra-compact camera modules featuring its Dynastron image sensor technology. This new family of compact camera modules with Dynastron image sensor technology, which include the TCM9200MD, TCM9100MD and the TCM9000MD, were developed using Toshiba's chip scale camera module (CSCM) manufacturing technology and are the first to use through chip via (TCV) technology. CSCM allows the mounting and assembly of camera module components in the semiconductor wafer during the module's manufacture.
