TomTom and Renault introduce the world's first feature upgrade for embedded navigation. For the first time, users of an embedded navigation system can get new advanced routing features without buying a whole new system. Carminat TomTom users can now benefit from even smarter and more efficient navigation, in addition to safer driving. The updated Carminat TomTom will plan the fastest route by using the driving experiences of millions of TomTom users worldwide (IQ Routes). TomTom announces that the latest version of the TomTom software app for iPhone and iPod touch (version 1.2) can now be purchased on the App Store. The new version of the software will be made available for free to existing TomTom app for iPhone customers. The new TomTom software version, now also compatible with the iPod touch, includes additional advanced features that TomTom fans around the world have come to appreciate. TomTom car kit for iPod touch which will be available shortly in the United States.
