Nikon’s newly announced CoolPix S51c and my Picturetown are set to revolutionize the way in which consumers share and store images. my Picturetown, Nikon’s new photo sharing and storage service, allows the consumer to email pictures to friends and family, send their pictures to a Blackberry device for viewing, or post them to a blog or social networking site. Adding to the convenience of this camera, Nikon has partnered with T-Mobile USA to provide CoolPix S51c customers with a complimentary six month subscription to T-Mobile’s HotSpot Wi-Fi service for digital cameras, allowing the user to send images and videos to friends and family from the nearly 8,500 T-Mobile HotSpot locations nationwide.

T-Mobile USA, Inc., earned the highest ranking from the J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Wireless Customer Care Performance Study – Volume 2, marking the sixth consecutive period that T-Mobile holds the top spot. T-Mobile not only earned the highest ranking, but its overall customer care score was significantly higher than any other wireless carrier. T-Mobile is now the only wireless carrier that has swept a J.D. Power and Associates national wireless category for six reporting periods.

On Mother’s Day, most adults may not be with their mothers, according to the new T-Mobile Mother’s Day Survey on how families stick together. “Today, many grown children do not live within driving distance of their moms,” said David Beigie, vice president of Marketing, T-Mobile USA. “Many move to other parts of the country. And dispersed families don’t come together for Mother’s Day like they do for other holidays such as Thanksgiving.” The survey found that about half of adults (49 percent) said they would not be spending Mother’s Day with their mother and another 18 percent were uncertain. 33 percent said they will be spending Mother’s Day with their mother.

T-Mobile USA, Inc. announced that T-Mobile Dash customers will be the first in the US to download and experience the benefits of the new Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 software. Starting tomorrow, May 4, T-Mobile Dash customers can upgrade from Windows Mobile 5.0 to Windows Mobile 6 via a free desktop download available directly from T-Mobile. The free Windows Mobile 6 upgrade will be available online to T-Mobile Dash customers beginning May 4. The T-Mobile Dash with Windows Mobile 6 will also be available from T-Mobile retail stores and online beginning in June.

iPass Inc. announced an agreement with T-Mobile UK to integrate its 3G data network into the iPass services platform. The agreement marks a significant enterprise-focused distribution agreement for T-Mobile UK and will give iPass customers’ access to T-Mobile’s existing UMTS network as well as HSDPA, the latest broadband data standard for cellular networks. T-Mobile is the first UK operator to deliver HSDPA capability across its entire 3G network, supporting data rates of up to 1.8 megabits-per-second.
