Archos is pleased to announce the unveiling of its Gen10 XS Android tablets. The Archos 101 XS, a 10.1-inch Android tablet that weighs only 21 ounces and measures 0.31 of an inch thin, will be the first of this new line of extra slim Archos tablets to debut mid-September followed by the release of the Archos 97 XS and Archos 80 XS. Archos continues to push the technological boundaries with the innovative Coverboard, a unique magnetic keyboard conceived for all Archos tablets. The entire Gen10 XS line is Google certified, features Android 4.0 and allows full access to Google Play featuring over 600,000 apps. The Archos tablets will be upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in Q4 2012.

Lenovo introduced its first tablet specifically designed for Windows 8, the ThinkPad Tablet 2. The multi-use Windows 8 tablet boasts differentiators that matter, including an optional digitizer and pen for precision input, 3G wireless with Lenovo Mobile Access pay-as-you-go plans and 4G models, along with security features like a Fingerprint Reader, IT manageability technologies, and corporate-level service and support. The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 is scheduled to be available when Windows 8 launches in October 2012.

Samsung introduced its first tablet for 2012 with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), expanding the choice of Android tablets to customers. Light and portable, the new Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is the ideal personal on-the-go device, available in 3G and Wi-Fi versions. Starting from United Kingdom, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) will be launched in global market from March 2012. The Galaxy Tab 2 multimedia experience is further enhanced by Samsung’s AllShare Play, a new content-sharing service available for the first time on any Samsung mobile device. All-Share Play allows users to play or live-stream their multimedia content on their Galaxy Tab 2 from Personal Computers, other Samsung smart devices as well as third-party web storages.
