Memorex, a portfolio brand of Imation Corp launched a comprehensive line of flash memory cards. The new Memorex TravelCard family includes an Imation-developed Dual-Interface card featuring both Secure Digital (SD) and USB connectivity, as well as the most popular formats and capacities of flash memory for use with digital cameras, digital video camcorders, MP3 players and mobile phones. “The flash card market continues to grow as consumers use their portable devices in new ways, like taking photos with a phone,” said Carla Pihowich, director of marketing for Imation’s Consumer Division. The Memorex SD plus USB Dual-Interface TravelCard will be available in the second quarter of 2007.

Lexar, has upgraded its JumpDrive Mercury USB flash drive with features that include enhanced performance, as well as the advanced PowerToGo mobile computing software platform. The speed-rated JumpDrive Mercury also features a convenient built-in capacity meter that lets the user know how much memory is available even when power is removed. Available in 1GB and 2GB versions, JumpDrive Mercury is Lexar’s first product to feature the innovative capacity meter. In addition, like all Lexar JumpDrive products, JumpDrive Mercury will provide full compatibility with Microsoft Windows Vista, and like all the company’s speed-rated JumpDrive products, it will also be enhanced for Windows ReadyBoost.

Lexar Media, Inc., a world leader in advanced digital media technologies, will exhibit its broad lineup of JumpDrive USB flash drives at CES 2007, including both new and upgraded models. Most notably, the company is introducing JumpDrive 360, an innovative “capless” drive encased in a stylish rotating metal jacket. In addition, the company is demonstrating its JumpDrive Mercury with PowerToGo software and showcasing its new 8GB JumpDrive Secure II and JumpDrive Firefly drives. All Lexar JumpDrive products will be compatible with Windows Vista, and all the company’s speed-rated drives will be enhanced for Windows ReadyBoost. Lexar will demonstrate the JumpDrive 260 USB flash drive at the 2007 International CES.
