The Ajax Company announced that its Enterprise Ajax software suite will support the Apple iPhone. Aligning its development with Apple's unfolding strategy for the sexy new device, Backbase has added support for the new platform, including Apple’s Web browser for iPhone, Safari 3, and the code-named Leopard operating system. The Backbase SDK enables developers to bring Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) and rich user interfaces to the Apple iPhone. Apple officially announced the choice of Ajax as the iPhone SDK at the recent Worldwide Developer Conference. “Developers and users alike are going to be very surprised and pleased at how great these applications look and work on iPhone,” said Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

HP announced a prototype software suite and website to enable people to design, create and share location-based experiences, games and tours with friends, family and others, anywhere in the world. The site makes available a new HP Labs technology, code-named “mscape,” that overlays digital sight, sounds and interactions on the physical world to create immersive and interactive experiences called mediascapes.

T-Mobile USA, Inc. announced that T-Mobile Dash customers will be the first in the US to download and experience the benefits of the new Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 software. Starting tomorrow, May 4, T-Mobile Dash customers can upgrade from Windows Mobile 5.0 to Windows Mobile 6 via a free desktop download available directly from T-Mobile. The free Windows Mobile 6 upgrade will be available online to T-Mobile Dash customers beginning May 4. The T-Mobile Dash with Windows Mobile 6 will also be available from T-Mobile retail stores and online beginning in June.
