Apple unveiled iOS 8, the biggest release since the launch of the App Store, giving users incredible new features and developers the tools to create amazing new apps. iOS 8 delivers a simpler, faster and more intuitive user experience, including iCloud Photo Library, allowing you to enjoy your photos and videos more easily across your devices; new Messages features to easily share voice, video or photos with just a swipe; and an entirely new Health app that gives you a clear overview of your health and fitness data all in one place. Apple iOS 8 also includes predictive typing for Apple’s QuickType keyboard; Family Sharing, the easiest way to share purchases, photos and calendars within the same household; and iCloud Drive, to store files.

Sony PS4 adds social features - An new update to the PlayStation 4 system software is now available. You can use this to update your system software to version 1.70. A Sony PS4 system software update is required to use PSNSM features and some features on your system. Also, by updating the system software of your PS4 system, you can enjoy various additional features and enhanced security. One feature that stands out the most is SHAREfactory, a new rich video editing app. SHAREfactory allows you to easily customize your gameplay videos with special effects, video commentary with picture-in-picture capability through PlayStation Camera, and custom soundtracks using the included audio tracks or your original music imported from a USB drive.

Apple has released a developer preview of OS X Mavericks, the 10th major release of the Mac operating system. With more than 200 new features, Apple OS X Mavericks brings Maps and iBooks to the Mac, introduces Finder Tags and Tabs, enhances multi-display support for power users, delivers new core technologies for breakthrough power efficiency and performance, and includes an all-new version of Safari. The preview release of Apple OS X Mavericks is available to Mac Developer Program members starting Monday, and Mac users will be able to download Mavericks from the Mac App Store this fall.

Apple releases a beta version of Apple iOS 5 mobile operating system to iOS Developer Program members. The Apple iOS 5 beta release includes over 200 new features that will be available to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users this fall.
