Samsung Electronics, announces that it stakes out new, premium territory in the crowded Full HD TV market with a new line of large-screen LCD TVs that combine the latest in high definition picture technology with inspired, timeless designs. The goal of the new F9 series TVs (52", 70") is to roll out the new LED Smart lighting technology, known as “local dimming,” in some of the largest screen sizes available in the marketplace. Samsung also maintains its premium standards by packaging the lineup with its patented Full HD 1080p super clear LCD panel (52") and Wide Color Enhancer to deliver superior HD quality with blacker blacks, more vivid colors and ultra-sharp images.

Samsung's new BD player lineup offers full compatibility with 24 movie frames per second playback. Since most movies are filmed at 24 frames per second, these new Samsung Blu-ray players will be able to playback movies in their native format, significantly reducing unwanted artifacts. Setting the player’s Movie Frame (24Fs) feature to ON allows the consumer to adjust the HDMI 1.3 output to 24 frames per second for a crisp, theater-like experience. Each of these players will also support 60Fs for enhanced compatibility with many of today’s HDTVs.

Samsung Electronics America, Inc., a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, announced three new additions to its Q1 Ultra family of Ultra Mobile PCs, the Q1U-SSDXP, the Q1U-ELXP and the Q1U-XP. The new Q1U-SSDXP is the first Q1 Ultra to incorporate a solid state Flash NAND hard drive instead of a traditional rotational disk drive. All three of the new models are based on the Microsoft Windows XP Tablet Edition operating system.
