The tablet concept has already existed for a while, but the tablet only really broke through with the arrival of Apple’s flagship, the iPad. The iPad appeals to a large group of users, the majority of which are consumers. Although Apple has gotten a head start because there was no competition, the industry has since woken up. Samsung is one of those manufacturers that sees opportunity and has jumped into Apple’s wake with the new Samsung Galaxy Tab. Additionally, Samsung is aiming at business users and consumers.

Now that many cell phone specifications have become standard, we go a step further, and the importance of a good operating system becomes more and more evident. On the one hand, this is for recognition and ease of use, and on the other hand, functionality and available content. After the arrival of the Apple iPhone, Google also launched a new operating system; Google Android. Now, Samsung is also presenting a standard operating system, Samsung Bada. That may be important for its own identity, but the question is if it is possible to compete with the existing systems.

U.S. Cellular offered customers another Android-powered Smartphone to choose from with the arrival of the Samsung Mesmerize (Model : Samsung SCH-i500). This Samsung Galaxy S Smartphone is the most cutting-edge handset U.S. Cellular has launched this year that runs on the Google Android platform. U.S. Cellular’s next two Android-powered Smartphones are the LG Apex handset, which will launch in November 2010, followed by the LG Optimus U in December. Both new handsets will join the carrier’s growing Smartphone catalogue that also includes Windows Mobile and BlackBerry Smartphones.

Verizon Wireless and Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile), the number one mobile phone provider in the United States, announced the upcoming availability of the Samsung Continuum, a Galaxy S Smartphone. The new Samsung Continuum handset is the world’s first Smartphone designed with a dedicated ticker display, which provides users with up-to-the-minute news, sports, finance and social networking updates for maximized multitasking. The new Samsung Continuum Smartphone will be available in the colour : Mirror black.

AT&T and Samsung Samsung Mobile, the number one mobile phone provider in the United States, announced the upcoming availability of the Samsung Evergreen Smartphone, a quick messaging handset built with 70% recycled post-consumer plastics and packaging that utilizes 80% recycled post-consumer paper. Samsung Mobile announced it will donate $1 for every Samsung Evergreen cell phone sold, with a maximum donation of $100,000, to the non-profit organization Cell Phones for Soldiers.

Sprint intros the Samsung M360 cell phone. The Samsung M360 mobile phone from Sprint is designed for practical customers that use their mobile phone to make phone calls, take digital pictures and send all kinds of messages. This attractive flip phone offers a fashionable Velvet Blue color and affordable way to keep in touch with friends and family. The new Samsung phone is Bluetooth enabled for hands-free conversations and has a built-in speakerphone that allow customers to communicate any way they choose. Verizon Wireless and Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) announced that the Samsung Zeal, a dual-hinge messaging cell phone in a unique, flip-style format with an E-Ink technology transforming the QWERTY keypad, will be available online at the Verizon Wireless website and in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores from November 2010. Open the Samsung Zeal vertically as a flip phone and it has a traditional numeric keypad and can change to an alpha-only keypad. In landscape, the Samsung Zeal phone features a QWERTY keypad that can change to numeric with symbols. The new Samsung Zeal Smartphone will be available in the colour black.

Samsung Mobile, the No. 1 cell phone provider in the United States announced the upcoming availability of the Samsung Solstice 2 Smartphone, a new and quick messaging handset with a 3.0” touchscreen.
