Samsung announces the launch of the new Samsung Omnia SGH-i900 mobile phone. The Samsung Omnia brings together high performance business content, top of the range style and a fun, dynamic multi-media experience, to ensure consumers are always connected both at home and at work. Omnia, meaning ‘everything’ in Latin and ‘wish’ in Arabic, goes beyond the current top-of-the-line features available in today’s mobile phones. The Samsung i900 Omnia will be available to the market from June 2008.

Recently Samsung Netherlands introduced their latest mobile navigator. It is already quite interesting to walk around with this kind of mobile navigation system in your pocket, though it becomes even more interesting when it's combined with mobile photography. Although the new Samsung G810 mobile phone is not considered to be the successor to the Samsung G800, we do find its 5 Megapixel image sensor combined with a 3x optical zoom. During a Samsung press conference on a sunny day in The Netherlands, we were given the opportunity to shoot some sample photos with the Samsung U900 mobile phone (Also known as Samsung Soul). The press conference was held at the castle 'De Hooge Vuursche in Baarn. Despite the limited time we had to take the Samsung U900 on a stroll to shoot some sample photos, we were still able to get a good impression of the photo quality, the functions and the operation of the Samsung U900. The Samsung U900 main features are the innovative touchpad monitor, fast 7.2 Mbps HSDPA connection availability, a 5 Megapixel digital camera with auto focus, face detection and (electronic) image stabilization.

Samsung surprised the public by showcasing a number of cell phones without any form of introduction at the telecom show "Televisie 2008" held in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands. The new cell phone devices are entry-level models, except for the Samsung U800, made for the prepaid market and the newbie in the field of mobile phone users. The Samsung U800 is an Ultra Edition candybar handset aiming at the business user. Other new models showcased in the Samsung booth were the Samsung L870, M620, B510 and the Samsung B300.
