Samsung announced the release of its latest portable LED projector, the Samsung P410M, an LED-based DLP pocket projector. Weighing less than two pounds, the P410M’s compact design (5.8” W x 2.5” H x 5.7” D), USB port, and auto play feature, make presentations “laptop optional” and packs easily into your laptop bag or briefcase. The Samsung P410M LED projector is now available at an Estimated Retail Price of $599. “Samsung prides itself on delivering the most innovative and advanced display technology to its customers, and the new Samsung LED projector leverages our heritage of superior display performance,” said Doug Albregts, Information Technology Division, Samsung Electronics.

Samsung Mobile UK announces that its Galaxy handset (Samsung i7500) is now available on the O2 network in the United Kingdom through O2 retail stores and O2’s telesales team. The Samsung Galaxy smartphone is the company’s first handset powered by Android, giving customers instant access to familiar applications, as well as access to a range of ever-expanding services being developed for the Google Android platform.

During a crowded Summer Millionaire Fair 2009 in hotel 'Huis ter Duin' in Noordwijk aan zee, the Netherlands, Samsung Mobile Netherlands officially launched two new Samsung mobile phones, the Samsung Omnia II and the Omnia Qwerty. Like its predecessor, the Samsung Omnia II comes in a so-called Millionaire pack. In addition to the Omnia II phone, the Omnia Millionaire Pack II contains a luxury leather travel case, a voucher for the Millionaire magazine, and a chance to win exclusive prizes.

Samsung Electronics, a mobile phone provider, announced that sales of the Samsung Star, its hugely popular touch screen mobile phone, surpassed the 5 million mark this month. The Samsung Star (model number Samsung S5230), launched in May 2009, is the fastest cell phone in Samsung’s history to reach the milestone. Launched first in Europe, one million of the Samsung Star phones were sold in the first month and a half alone, after which the company expanded sales efforts to include markets in CIS, Southeast and Southwest Asia, East-Central Africa, China, and Central America.

Samsung Mobile announced the market expansion of the Samsung Omnia 2 (model: Samsung I8000), an all-in-one Smartphone based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. Launched on July 15 in Singapore, where its predecessor Omnia was unveiled last year, the Samsung Omnia II is in great demand by eagerly awaiting fans. The Samsung Omnia 2 multimedia cell phone began selling in other Asian countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam in July, and will be launched in over twenty further countries during August, including The Netherlands, China, Australia, Turkey and The United Arab Emirates.

Samsung Electronics introduces its new camcorders that make recording and viewing video in HD easy. The Samsung HMX-U10 is an ultra compact camcorder that records in full-HD and takes 10 megapixel still photos. It also allows users to easily share content online with its one-touch "upload" button to YouTube. The SMX-K40 and SMX-K45 record video in standard definition but then upscale the footage to near full-HD when viewing through an HDMI output (cable sold separately). These new models join Samsung’s second-half camcorder line-up for 2009, which includes the recently introduced Samsung SMX-C14 and Samsung SMX-C10.
