If there is a product that is the most talked about in 2009, than it's definitely the so-called Apple tablet, which according to the rumor machine, should be coming out on a daily basis. The latest information about this officially non-existent product is that a name is known. The tablet will be called Apple iSlate, and could be coming out soon. The fact that the editor-in-chief of the New York Times was already talking about the so-called Slate tablet in a speech to his staff, and with the discovery that Apple has had the name patented, we will probably be seeing the introduction of the Apple iSlate in a not too distant future.

Did New York Times Executive Editor Bill Keller speak too soon? With each and every day, the rumors about a new Apple product being launched soon seem to become stronger; the Apple Tablet. Biller Keller briefly mentioned the so-called Apple Slate during a private meeting. The Apple Slate is supposed to be a tablet that enables reading content such as newspapers. Undoubtedly Apple's refined touch technology will be integrated in the Apple Tablet. The goal of the NY times meeting was a presentation about the future of the New York Times as a newspaper in the digital era. And Apple seems to be involved in this.
