The Galaxy S8 offers up to three ways to protect and unlock your phone. Besides the fingerprint scanner, which we have seen since the S5, the S8 also incorporates an iris scanner and face detection. You may choose which method you prefer, or use a combination of both. The processor has been upgraded too, the S8 comes with the first 10 nm processor for exceptional performance. Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy S8 features Bixby, the new Samsung assistant, this assistant is much more advanced than Google Assistant.

Galaxy S8 camera
Also new is the front camera, the resolution has been increased to 8 megapixels. In addition, the selfie-camera of the Samsung S8 is better able to focus, thanks to face detection autofocus the camera can accurately measure how far you are away from the camera and automatically adjusts the focus to it. The 12 megapixel camera on the back has remained the same, but thanks to the new image processor night shots are more beautiful than before. The S8 camera also comes with an additional set of filters and stickers to apply to your photo recordings.

Other Samsung S8 specs
The battery capacity remains unchanged, Samsung clearly wants to play safe after the debacle with the Note 7. In addition, instead of a microUSB connector the new Samsung smartphone comes with a USB Type-C connector, for extra fast data transfer. The internal memory has doubled from 32GB to 64GB and is expandable.

Samsung S8 sample pictures

Nature photographer Matthew Cattell has taken great sample pictures of the British landscape. The test picture locations were chosen after a study by 2,500 respondents organized by Samsung, who gave their opinion on the best views in Great Britain. Matthew Cattell went to all these beautiful locations with the Galaxy S8 and took a test picture. At the most popular spots Samsung also put down a large Samsung Galaxy S8 frame of 7x3 meters, allowing visitors to admire the beautiful view by looking through the Infinity Display.

Samsung S8 review conclusion
Photographer Matthew Cattell was very pleased with the camera and the image quality of the Galaxy S8. His review verdict: "The Galaxy S8 has the most evolved smartphone camera in the world today creating impressively sharp pictures, even in low light conditions - which is just as well as we encountered a fair few spring showers and grey days whilst shooting the project! I hope people enjoy the results and are encouraged to get out and shoot the amazing views closest to them."
