Galaxy S4 Zoom smartphone
Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom menu
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is not only a digital camera. For all smartphone functionalities, the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and the TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 user interface are integrated. This combination is found in the entire Galaxy S4 Collection and shall not be completely unfamiliar to many. The S4 Zoom has the familiar notification screen, and this time with a ‘mere’ 10 functions. Not all software functions were transferred from the S4, but the ‘smart sleep’ function is available, which keeps the screen on as long as you are looking at it. The Galaxy S4 Zoom is easy to use and you can even operate it with one hand.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom screen
4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen
The S4 Zoom`s 4.3-inch screen is a bit smaller than the 5-inch screen on the Galaxy S4. The resolution is also lower. It is a qHD Super AMOLED screen with a 540 x 960 pixels resolution. We find it logical that Samsung reserves some of its hardware and software only for its top model. The fact that the Galaxy S4 Zoom has a less advanced touch screen is not a problem in our opinion. The images appear detailed and sharp. The color representation and brightness are fine. Photos and videos are shown beautifully on the S4 Zoom. That is the most important thing for this phone, I think.
Galaxy S4 Zoom internet
T he Google Chrome browser as well as Samsung’s own internet browser are pre-installed on the phone. The Galaxy S4 Zoom offers good connectivity with support for the following networks: 4G / LTE, 3G / HSDPA, WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, and aGPS. All familiar Google apps are also pre-installed, such as Google Maps, Google+, Google+ Photos, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, and Voice Search. When you use the landscape mode on your smartphone while surfing the net, the camera grip comes in handy, if you are left-handed. You can then hold the phone with your right hand in order to scroll with your left. If you are right-handed, you have to find a creative way to use your hand to work the camera lens. The internet experience with S4 Zoom is good, partly thanks to the clear screen and the 4G support. Surfing the net does use up a lot of battery power.
