Samsung Galaxy Mega screen
6.3" Super HD touchscreen screen
The Galaxy Mega 6.3-inch Super HD touchscreen has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 221 PPI. High-end phones these days often have a Full HD screen, and if you compare these phones, then you will certainly see the difference, especially in sharpness. The Galaxy Mega’s screen is sufficient. It is a clear screen with naturallooking colors, and it is easy to read. The screen can also display a remarkable amount of content. In contrast to the Galaxy Note 2, that is equipped with a 5.5" Amoled screen, the Galaxy Mega does not have an S Pen. Personally, I did not really miss the stylus pen. If you are creative, then the Galaxy Note could be a good alternative.

Samsung Galaxy Mega phone functions
There are a mere seven start screens present that you can organize according to your wishes. Samsung has already integrated a great numbers of apps in the start screen, and most likely, you will not use all of them. Luckily, these are easy to remove from your start screen. The possibility of using your start screen in landscape is also new. Previously, it was possible to apply screen rotation, but that did not work for the start screen. With the Samsung Galaxy Mega, that is the case. There is room on the large screen for many extra icons. You can add an extra row and column. The familiar notification center is also available, with a mere 17 icons including WiFi, GPS, screen rotation, etc. etc.

4G LTE internet connection
That this phone offers support for 4G LTE networks is a big plus, which makes much faster internet speeds are achievable. Samsung Galaxy Mega comes with two web browsers, the Google’s Chrome browser and Samsung’s own Internet browser. Thanks to the large display, the Galaxy Mega is ideal for watching and scrolling through web pages. This smartphone also supports Multi Window functionality, which makes it possible to use two screens, so that you can watch a video while surfing the net, for example. Moreover, the loudspeaker’s sound quality is not convincing, it is a mono speaker (not a stereo speaker), and it is placed at the back of the phone. When watching a video in landscape mode, your hand will often be covering the speaker.

Applications on the Galaxy Mega
The Galaxy Mega has adapted a number of innovative functions of the high-end model, the Galaxy S4. Air Gesture is not available, but Air View is. When you hold your finger above content, you get a preview, and this works for photo galleries, video, email, or for notes. You can view the content without actually having to open the file included. Smart Stay (the screen only shuts off when you are no longer looking at it) is also available, as well as Driving Mode (with which incoming text messages and emails are read out loud by the phone, and outgoing messages can be sent by speaking) and Safety Assistance (to notify contacts via an automatically generated message in an emergency).
