Sony Xperia T navigation
T hanks to the built-in GPS receiver, it is possible to use the Xperia T as a navigation device. The Wisepilot program for Xperia that comes pre-installed offers navigation with spoken instructions. Unfortunately, the trial version is only available for 30 days, and after that you can choose to use the Google maps navigation or buy the full version. An unlimited license costs €20 Euros, although I must say that the Google Maps spoken navigation offers comparable functions.

Sony Xperia T antivirus
McAfee Mobile Security antivirus software
More and more often, you hear stories about infected smartphones. For a computer we all use a virus scanner, but there only a few people that have installed a virus scanner on their smartphone. Yet you do use the internet on your smartphone, so the chance of contracting malicious viruses is certainly present. That is why the Sony Xperia T comes equipped with McAfee Mobile Security software. Unfortunately, the software is only valid for 7 days, and after that you can buy the antivirus software via the app. It is certainly recommended if you use the internet a lot.
Sony Xperia OfficeSuite
OfficeSuite 6 software
Office Suite 6 comes pre-installed on the Sony Xperia T. With this viewer, you can look at Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files on your smartphone. It is comparable to Microsoft Mobile Office. Because the Xperia T runs on the Google Android operating system, Office Suite by MobiSystems is used. Unfortunately, with the standard version, you can only open and view documents. If you want to edit documents, you can upgrade to Office Suite Pro, which costs €15 Euro. It is also possible to download extra fonts. Additionally, standard support is offered for Google Drive, Samsung Drop Box and Microsoft SkyDrive.
Sony Xperia T battery
Sony Xperia T battery life
The Sony Xperia T is equipped with a 1850mAh battery, which is not removable. Normally, you should not have any problems with the battery; however, if that is the case, the whole smartphone is unusable because you cannot replace the battery. Battery life is average, although we see that in a lot of high-end smartphones. Apps use a lot of energy, so that you have to charge the Xperia T after a day or two. You can save a lot of energy by adjusting the brightness of the screen and using the ‘extended stand-by-mode'.
Sony Xperia T memory
Sony Xperia T supports microSD memory
The Sony Xperia T comes with a 16GB internal memory. Other Xperia phones are not equipped with much more memory. The 16GB is very useful, mostly due to the 13 megapixel camera, which creates quite large files. If over time you have downloaded a lot of games or have uploaded a lot of music and the 16GB is full – not to worry, there is room for a microSD memory card with a maximum of 32GB, so that you have a total of 48GB. This will last you through the winter.
