Alcatel tablet review

T he new OneTouch T10 Tab is Alcatel’s first Android tablet, with which the French company is answering the wishes of consumers that would like to experience all the advantages of an Android tablet, without having to spend a lot of money. The Alcatel OneTouch T10 has a 7-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The back is made of soft-feeling, but high-quality material, which makes the tablet very comfortable to hold. The inside is not exactly soft, as the powerful 1GHz processor allows the Android 4.0.3 operating system to do exactly what it was made for, which contributes to a very user-friendly experience. If you are curious about our findings of this affordable Android tablet, here is our OneTouch T10 review.

Alcatel One Touch T10 design

When you look at the design of the OneTouch T10, at first glance it looks like a sturdy, solid Tab and not as a cheap tablet, which the price might make one suspect. The Alcatel Tab T10’s format is 192 x 117.6 x 11.3 millimeters, which makes this tablet easy to take with you. The Alcatel OneTouch tablet has a built-in webcam, DC-in, HDMI, and a microUSB connection. The slot for the microSD memory card is beautifully integrated on the back of the T10 Tab, only there is no cover for the microSD slot to protect it from dust.

Menu of the Alcatel T10 Tab

You can access the menu by tapping an icon in the upper right-hand corner of the main screen. At first glance, the Tab T10’s menu appears user-friendly, thanks to the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, although it may be confusing that the Apps and the Widgets are separated. If you have a good look at the different applications, you may notice the inconsistent use of capital letters in the names of the apps, making the whole look a bit disorganized. Widgets or Apps that you often use can be dragged to the Alcatel Tab T10’s start screen, for even quicker access.
