Nokia Lumia 900 radio & music

The Nokia Lumia 900 has a so-called 'Nokia Music' application where all your Music is saved. Transferring Music from your PC to the smartphone is fast and simple. A fun addition within Nokia Music is Mix-radio, by selecting a Music genre you can then choose from an extensive selection of Music tracks that can be listened to both online and offline. In the Nokia Music Store, you can buy Music tracks and via Concerts, you get information about upcoming concerts in your area. Next to ´Nokia Music´ there is also a ´Music & videos' application available via the start screen. This application refers to the Microsoft Zune library with Music, videos, podcasts, and radio.

Nokia Drive & Nokia Maps

The tiles Nokia Drive and Nokia Maps are displayed on the start screen. Nokia Drive is voice-command navigation. There is a 2D as well as a 3D map available. The driving speed is shown on the screen and if desired, the speed limits as well. There is also one pre-installed map, but you can easily download extra maps for free. Next to Nokia Drive, Nokia Maps is available. Nokia Maps gives a good impression of a certain area and displays the surrounding popular places, upon request. Next to the regular map on which all streets are shown, you can also choose Satellite, after which a clear map display (incl. buildings, trees, etc.) is projected from space. You can also get directions for public transportation, walking, and driving.

Nokia Lumia 900 processor

The Nokia Lumia 900 Windows Phone has a 1,4 Ghz single-core processor. This sounds as if the Lumia 900 is four times slower than the 1,4 Ghz quad-core processor of the Samsung Galaxy S3. In practice, the processor does not present any problems. It does indeed take a bit longer before you navigation is ready to use, for example, but it is certainly not objectionable. Since you have to click less to get to the desired application, this also saves time. In the end, the decision to buy is determined more by the question: are you a bigger fan of Windows Phone, Android, iOS or another mobile operating system? The answer to this is very personal.

Nokia Lumia 900 uses Micro-SIM card

The Nokia Lumia 900 has a BP-6EW battery with 1830.0 mAh. The 3,7V battery, just like the memory, is not replaceable or removable. The battery keeps working all day and offers a talk-time of a maximum of 7 hours and a standby time of 300 hours. The Nokia Lumia 900 is delivered with a stylish charger, which can also be used as a micro USB cable. The Nokia Lumia 900 has a 16GB internal memory. The storage capacity can be extended with 25GB by using SkyDrive, Microsoft’s online cloud service, for free. You must also consider that the Nokia Lumia 900 does not support a regular SIM card, this smartphone uses the micro-SIM.
