HTC Sensation review | Internet & Navigation
HTC Android market
HTC Sensation applications
After logging in with your Google-account, your contacts, agenda items and e-mail messages are loaded into the HTC Sensation smartphone. Additionally, you have access to the Android market, where there are now more than enough applications to be found, of the free and the paid variety. Applications are now a matter of fact when using mobile internet combined with a smartphone. There are applications for anything that you can think up. More and more handy applications for business use are appearing, with which diverse systems can be accessed while en route.
HTC Sensation navigation
Google Maps navigation
With the Google Maps application that comes installed in the HTC Sensation, the HTC Sensation cell phone can also be used as a navigation system with fully spoken turn-by-turn navigation. With the Google Maps navigation it is easy to search by business name or street name, for example. You can also add an address to a contact so that you only have to select that contact to begin the navigation. If Google Maps does not suffice for you, then you can always download another navigation solution for the Android platform.
HTC Sensation internet
Internet and E-mail on your smartphone
As described above, it is easy to install Google products such as e-mail, agenda items and contacts. The HTC Sensation smartphone can be easily used for other e-mail accounts as well. In the menu, under email, you can choose Exchange, Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail or other. Usually you only have to enter the e-mail address and the password. The remaining settings are then automatically loaded. The browser works quickly and smoothly, as we have come to expect from HTC. With HSDPA and WiFi, all connections are possible, in order to quickly access the internet on the go. The HTC Sensation displays all sites well, and the text is adjusted to the screen, even after zooming in. Even Flash is supported.

Social Media on the HTC Sensation
A fun option that we found is WiFi Hotspot. If you cannot get a connection for your laptop, with three clicks you can turn your HTC smartphone into a Hotspot. Open the WiFi Hotspot application, give the Network a name, invent a password and you are ready to go. Of course Social Media is also included. The HTC Sensation has the especially developed Friend Stream. When you log into Twitter or Facebook on the HTC Sense, then your Friend Stream is filled with all Facebook and Twitter updates. On the unlock screen, you can place the Friend Stream or stocks application so that you are up-to-date without even having to unlock the phone.
HTC Sensation battery
HTC Sensation stand-by time
The battery that comes with the HTC Sensation is a BG58100, 3.7V, 1520mAh Lithium Ion battery. According to the specifications, this battery has a maximum stand-by time of 350 hours and a maximum talk time of at least 8 hours. This is fair, but not spectacular. In practice, with regular use you will have to recharge every other day. The battery is found in a compartment on the back, and the entire back of the phone can be removed. You just have to push the bottom in a bit with your nail and then pull it off. This is not so easy, and because the whole backing comes off, it is a bit unhandy. Luckily you do not have to do it often.
HTC Sensation memory
HTC Sensation supports microSDHC memory
The HTC Sensation has an internal memory of 1GB, so that you can save some photos, videos and e-mail attachments. If you are going to shoot HD quality videos, and a large amount of photos, then the standard memory will not be sufficient. It is possible to extend the memory with a microSD/SDHC memory card. The HTC Sensation cell phone supports these memory cards to a maximum of 32GB. The phone comes with an 8GB memory card, so that you can get the most out of the HTC Sensation cell phone.
