microSDHC memory support

The BlackBerry Torch has an internal memory of 4GB. This allows you to use the phone directly for all multimedia applications. If the standard memory is still not enough for you, then you can extend the memory with a microSD/SDHC memory card. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 supports these memory cards to a maximum of 32GB. The memory card is found behind a flap on the back, so that it can be changed without having to remove the battery.

Stand-by time of the BlackBerry 9800

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 has a 3.7V 1270mAh Lithium Ion battery. According to the specifications, this battery should ensure a stand-by time of 432 hours and a talk-time of 5.8 hours. In practice, the stand-by time is indeed pretty good. For intensive use it is desirable to charge the battery on a daily basis, and for normal use, once every two to three days.
