B lackBerry is of course known for the good E-mail synchronization possibilities and the popular BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) for Pinging. To gain access to these services, you have to acquire a special BlackBerry subscription. These subscriptions are in BlackBerry BIS for the consumer market and BlackBerry BES for the business user. With a BIS subscription, you can add an e-mail account via the provider’s special site or the phone itself. BlackBerry BIS supports several e-mail accounts.

BlackBerry BES is especially for users with BlackBerry software on the Exchange-server. This subscription ensures a wireless synchronization E-mail, Agenda and contacts. With a BlackBerry BES subscription, you can only use one e-mail account. Surfing the internet was always a bit restricted on the BlackBerry, but with the new OS 6 operating system, it has improved a lot. Although working with PDF and Office files is still not optimal. All kinds of websites are displayed well on the BlackBerry Torch 9800. Only flash is not supported.

Multimedia on the BlackBerry Torch

As mentioned earlier, multimedia plays an important role in the new OS 6 system, there is a separate tab for it in the menu, and the display has improved. Next to Music, Video and Images, we also find a Podcast option in the multimedia menu. There is also a YouTube application and in the BlackBerry App World, there are many applications to be found with which you can arrange your BlackBerry smartphone according to your own desires. For playing music, you can use the built-in speaker or the headset with 3.5mm connection that comes included.
