microSDHC memory support

With an 8.0 megapixel digital camera, the possibility of shooting video in HD quality, and a lot of available content, it is of course important that there is enough memory available. The HTC Desire HD has an internal memory of 1.5GB. You can get quite a ways with that in the beginning, but you will quickly need more storage. Luckily the memory can be extended with a microSD/SDHC memory card. The HTC Desire HD smartphone supports these memory cards up to a maximum of 32GB. The memory card is placed under the flap on the bottom, where the sim card is also found.

Stand-by time of the HTC Desire HD

The HTC Desire HD comes with a 1230mAh 3.7V Lithium Ion battery. According to the specifications, this means a maximum stand-by time of 420 hours and a maximum talk-time of more than 9 hours. With normal use, a stand-by time of two days is realistic, but most users will have to recharge this HTC cell phone daily, making a car charger or an extra battery a welcome addition. Care has to be taken with the battery flap, it is a small flap on the side, but as soon as it opens, the phone switches off, as the flap holds the battery in place.
