Nokia X6 digital camera

T he Nokia X6 smartphone has an integrated digital camera with a 5.0 megapixels resolution and a Carl Zeiss lens. The application can be started by holding down the quick access key on the right side of the phone, or via the menu by choosing ‘camera’. There is also a sliding button on the right side of the phone to lock the keypad, which allows for Nokia X6’s keypad to be easily unlocked as well. The application can be started up relatively quickly; within two seconds you can start photographing.

Nokia X6 digital camera settings

A toolbar with options can be found next to the viewfinder, on the right side. Only the flash settings can be adjusted with one easy action. The other settings are accessed via the menu. This menu has twelve icons, to adjust the photo setting, white balance, sensitivity (low, normal and high), contrast and sharpness. It would have been handy if the photo setting could be adjusted directly next to the viewfinder, so that you could quickly make a close-up shot.

Taking pictures with the Nokia X6

To make a photo, the quick key on the side of the phone or the touch screen can be used. Although you must be wary that if you use the quick key, that the sharpness setting cannot be adjusted. If you have to adjust the sharpness, then you have to use the menu or touch screen button first. The photos that were taken with the Nokia X6 look great. The result is satisfying; the colors are good and a very good photo can be taken in different situations.
