HTC HD2 review conclusion

T he HTC HD2 is an impressive smartphone. The huge screen, which is very smooth in use, does increase the size of the phone. The Windows Mobile 6.5 software is nicely designed and works easily, although the innovation level is small. The HTC HD2 mobile phone is extremely suitable for Internet use and email, thanks to the fast connection, perfect support and, naturally, the large-sized screen. Also for multimedia applications, the screen is a plus, especially when viewing (YouTube) movies. Unfortunately, the supplied memory is on the tight side, since only a 2GB flash memory card is included in addition to the 512MB internal memory. Naturally, a bigger memory card can be purchased, however, for a mobile phone in this price class, we really do expect the full package. We find the quality of the digital camera disappointing; just like with the HTC Touch Pro 2, the expectations were higher than the actual end result shows.

At first sight, the pictures on the screen do look good, but once on a large monitor or printout, it turned out that there is still a lot of blur and deviating colors. Anyway, as this is the only minus for this versatile smartphone, we can still conclude; it is a success model.
