S triking about the Symbian menu design is that it often comes across as slightly old-fashioned, however, this is not the case for the Samsung i8910 HD, where it is all on par with the design of the mobile phone itself, making it look even more classy than it already is. The center button below the screen serves to return one step, and by keeping it pressed longer, you will get to the activated applications.

Watching movies on the Samsung Omnia HD
Since this Samsung mobile phone features an HD recording function and a large bright touchscreen, we certainly have high expectations of the multimedia. The screen is actually very nice, the demo movie really shows the quality. Even if full movies are uploaded to the phone, for example in DivX format, you can easily watch a movie while on the road. If you want to go to a different scene in the movie, by pressing it on the timeline, the Omnia HD smartphone responds even faster than a PC. This is remarkable, while the Samsung i8910 clearly has more trouble rendering a picture. I had stored a large album on the Samsung HD phone, but each picture took several seconds to load. This makes it impossible to quickly show people your holiday pictures, for example. It didn't make any difference whether the pictures were stored on the internal or external memory.

Loading of music files does not cause any delays on the Samsung Omnia HD. 'Media' in the main menu, contains the music player and an FM radio. Upon opening the music player, we find all the music neatly arranged in various categories, making it easy to find everything. The built-in speaker of the Samsung HD plays the music with a reasonable quality and a decent volume. Furthermore, a 3.5mm audio jack is located on the top side of the mobile phone, enabling the Samsung i8910 HD to connect to any desired headset or external speakers.
