Sony Ericsson W995 test

T he Sony-Ericsson W995 can do it all, if we look at its specifications. The high resolution digital camera onboard of the phone, really ranks this Walkman phone extremely close to the Cybershot series. It is for a reason that neither Cybershot nor Walkman will be part of the new generation Sony Ericsson phones. The Walkman functionalities of the phone are accompanied and enhanced on the T-Mobile version by the PlayNow Plus music service. This service works excellently and is fast and easy, although you do find tracks missing on it. The camera, which is always one of Sony Ericsson's strong points on its mobile phones, does disappoint slightly on the W995. It's not the options, since they are all present, like Face detection and Smile Shot, but it's the actual quality that disappointed us compared to other mobile phones. The included speaker set lets you enjoy your music even better. The design does hold back somewhat, clearly Sony Ericsson however, to the fan of this brand, this will be a mobile phone with appealing functionalities. However, compared to the top ones from other brands, the camera has to surrender, and we do miss a touchscreen and/or a full QWERTY keyboard for the use of the Internet functionalities.
