Digital reading; a new experience

Although I wouldn’t generally have chosen to review a reader, considering the fact that books don't do much for me personally, I did enjoy testing this reader. A book should catch my attention and hold it, if not, I switch to an easier medium such as music or television. The Sony Reader, although it may sound as a cliché, really changed this. The Sony Reader surprised me and made me realize that for me, this is the perfect way to read a book. You could even say that it made me rediscover reading! The Sony Reader Pocket Edition has a fresh, up to date appearance, and the monitor provides the perfect reading experience. The device is extremely user-friendly and will certainly be able to convince people who are now still reading traditional books.

Sony ebook review conclusion

The button lay-out on the side of this Sony Pocket Reader, I find less comfortable compared to its bigger brother, the Sony Reader Touch Edition, at which the operation takes place on the screen itself. However, the screen of the Sonly Reader Pocket is more comfortable to read, because it is less shiny since this Reader does not require a touch coating. Thanks to the fact there is room for a large amount of books and the energy of the device lasts for 8000 pages, reading a book is now much more accessible than when you have to keep one big (sturdy) book in your hands. I can actually see this market grow further, especially for schoolbooks. And how big will the difference in weight be for the average student: a bag full of books or a pouch with the Sony Reader in it? Currently, there are still more marketing books available than actual literature as ebooks. This is however currently changing rapidly, while we can see the offer of ebooks growing every day. Amazon is already offering a wide array.
