Windows Mobile phone

T here is very little left of the Windows Mobile structure, only Messages, Settings and Explorer, of course. If you select Settings, you first enter the TouchFlo interface, however; if you then select one of the submenus, you will end up in the familiar Windows Mobile tab pages. It is fairly easy to work with this interface, yet you keep getting the feeling that something is missing. Perhaps it's just a matter of getting used to. The free update makes this HTC phone more than useful for Windows Mobile 6.5. This new software alters the use of this mobile phone completely. I believe it is only this way you can get the most out of the HTC Touch Pro 2.

HTC Touch Pro 2 Internet

Internet Explorer Web browser

Besides the Internet Explorer web browser, the Opera browser is standard installed on the HTC Touch Pro 2. The difference between these browsers lies mainly in the loading speed and full accurate view of the pages. Thanks to the fact that the Touch Pro 2 features both Wi-Fi as well as HSDPA, you can connect to the Internet in every which way you desire. Wi-Fi can be activated by the Communications Manager in the TouchFlo, whereupon the available networks are automatically searched for. The graphical reproduction is decent. Connecting to a network is fast and simple. Moreover; the networks are stored, so you do not need to connect over and over again. The HTC smartphone uses an internet connection for many applications, so it is important to have an Internet bundle in order to avoid unexpected costs. Support for Flash is not yet available by default, however, after the update to the update to Windows Mobile 6.5, it is.

The large color screen provides a simple and clear operation. Thanks to the new interface, almost everything can be operated by using your fingers. Although the stylus pen is still incorporated in the phone, it is almost superfluous. It is only when sending text messages through the screen that it may still come in handy, however for this, the sliding keyboard can also be used. The sliding keyboard is very comfortable to use in practice, and thanks to the backlight, it is also easy to handle in the dark. That is why it is no problem at all to write long texts like an email, for example. I have tried out several full QWERTY keyboards so far and it's thanks to the large keys and the tilting screen that the HTC Touch Pro 2 is one of the best. Typing is almost as easy as on a computer.
