DRD R1 audio enhancer operation

By attaching the audio cable to a video/audio device, and connecting the other side to the portable audio enhancer, the two devices can be connected to each other. Next, all you have to do is connect the earphones to the top side of the R1 and the device is ready to use. All that's left to do now is to press the DRD button to activate the audio enhancer, whereupon the button will turn red and the device will work immediately.

It is easy to operate the volume key, also thanks to its ridges. At first, the volume of the audio device is copied. However; beware; if the volume key of the DRD R1 is set to maximum, there is no way to turn up the volume. You should set the volume key just over minimum before connecting the two devices, so that you can still turn the volume up.

Sound quality of the DRD audio enhancer

The audio enhancer is solely designed to improve the sound quality, whether it is the sound of music, movies or games. And this is exactly what the DRD R1 is good at. There is a vast difference to be heard. The sound becomes clear and round, especially the bass, but also the high and middle tones are very vivid, even at a higher volume level. The only thing that is a pity is the disturbing sound when you deactivate the DRD R1. You tend remove the earphones first and then turn off the device.

Connect Apple iPhone / iPod touch

It should also be possible to connect the DRD R1 to the iPhone or iPod touch. I couldn't do it at first, due to the audio cable; the plug was too bulky to properly fit in the deeply sunken 3.5 jack of the Apple device. After requesting a new cable, however, I was able to connect the audio enhancer, also in combination with the Apple iPhone and iPod touch. By the way; the DRD R1 can also be connected to other Apple products.
