Qstarz BT-1000X review
G PS (Global Positioning System) has become fully integrated into our society in the past few years. It presents many possibilities for the average person. It's hard to imagine life without a car navigation system. And in the meantime, going for a walk with a GPS device has also become very normal. There are various advanced GPS devices available for this, as well as the so-called 'travel recorders'. The latter are GPS devices which log routes and GPS data of pictures during a walk. The Qstarz BT-1000X travel recorder is this kind of GPS receiver. We received a Digitrading test sample and the following review will reveal more about how the Qstarz GPS receiver worked in practice.

Qstarz data logger design
The Qstarz Bluetooth GPS receiver comes in an attractive matte black package. Upon opening the box, you can see that the GPS receiver is equally stylish. The compact, oblong, black GPS device has a solid feel to it thanks to its rubber and high quality plastic housing. The weight helps too and gives you the feeling you're actually carrying something. The silver letters 'Qstarz Travel Recorder X' dominate the shiny front of the device. A handy pouch comes with it to protect the receiver while traveling. Furthermore, the box contains a paper manual, a mini USB cable, a car adaptor and a software CD.

There is only one red button available on the front, the so-called 'POI' (Point of Interest) button. If you see something interesting on your way and you want to log its location; just press this button once and the location will be logged. Furthermore, you will find a slide button on the left which offers three modes: Off, Nav, and Log. The Nav option logs the route. There are also three LED lights positioned in the front to indicate the device's status.
