5 Megapixel digital camera
The LG Secret is the most compact slider phone that features a 5.0 Megapixel digital camera. The pictures this camera produces are nice but not particularly special. In badly lit circumstances noise is visible quite quickly. If the flash is used, over-exposure is the case. Although the flash does offer a lot of light, the effective range is quite limited. If you take a picture from a distance more than one meter, the result is hardly to not at all visible. Nor does it add to the quality of the picture.

Making pictures with your phone
Taking a picture takes too much time, as we know by now from many other mobile phones. The auto focus is usually the factor slowing it all down. Pressing the button very briefly, activates the focus. If you have already done this, the picture gets taken a lot faster, although quick snapshots are impossible to take. The preview that appears after (finally) taking the picture is annoying. This preview remains visible for a moment after the shutter sound but changes a lot. Even though it may seem that the picture was successful; after three seconds it changes, because at the last moment either the object or the phone moved.

Activating the camera application
The camera application is activated by pressing the dedicated camera key on the right side of the mobile phone. Start-up time is swift. Just make sure you press the right button, since there are three buttons cluttered together, among which is the key to activate the touchscreen. Settings can be adjusted by scrolling through the menu using the touch keys.

Standard the capture mode and the flash are displayed with shortcuts ready for a quick change. Furthermore, you can switch quickly to video capture. More settings are available deeper in the menu. Effects can be added, such as a frame or sepia, ISO values can be adjusted as well as resolution and the timer can be set.
