LG Secret review

C ompared to large brands in the mobile phone market, such as Nokia and Samsung, LG certainly has some catching up to do when it comes to the worldwide market share. However, there does seem to be some growth. The mobile phones by LG are gradually becoming more popular and the consumer seems to have increasing faith in LG. Design and functionality are LG's keywords. The LG Shine and LG Viewty are quite successful. Whether the increase of the market share will continue, depends on the offer. LG differentiates itself by always applying its own operating system on mobile phones; and never Windows Mobile or Symbian used by other brands.

First impression of the LG Secret

The LG Secret handset comes in a neat black box. Around it, a wrapper displays a picture of the phone as well as a shiny text: 'Secret Black Label Series'. In addition, the main functions are also shown on the side. Inside the package, you have to flip open a cover to be able to see the mobile phone. The LG Secret is then found in an opening, where it fits neatly. The included accessories are separately packed in a small box with, written on it, the names of the items inside. It contains the battery charger, the headset and the data cable. A lot of thought has been given to the package, and has certainly been a good thing. The phone itself has a slim and stylish appearance. The dark front features a silver lining. Moreover, the mobile phone has a carbonfibre back. All in all, the LG KF750 Secret feels very solid.

LG Secret KF750 touch screen

The LG Secret cell phone has a touch operation with some six touch keys found below the monitor. The touch keys are combined with standard keys; the 'confirmation' key, 'answer' and 'end call' buttons and 'cancel' button. When the touch keys are touched, the multimedia phone will vibrate slightly and a so-called 'Neon animation' is shown. The buttons offer smooth response and enable you to quickly scrolling through the list. The operation combined with the standard keys is pleasant. The animation, however, does slow the phone down at times if several keys are used sequentially.
