Samsung Pixon Conclusion

T he Samsung Pixon M8800 is a nice and solid cameraphone. The Samsung operating system works fast and smoothly on the Pixon and enables swift and easy use. The Widgets and the large icons make it very simple to operate the phone, which makes the included stylus pen pretty much redundant. Your fingers will do perfectly. The Pixon allows for surfing the Internet but lacks WiFi. Unfortunately, the browser isn't the best one to display full websites. The full digital keyboard that appears when the phone is rotated, is wonderful for inserting text messages. This motion sensor is also used when the mediaplayer is activated. Display of the video files will continue on full screen, after rotating the phone. The built-in GPS receiver is only used in combination with Google Maps to enable adding GPS data to pictures. The Pixon's most important application is the 8.0 Megapixel digital camera. The settings are easily accessible and can be adjusted in a simple way, also while shooting. Extra functions such as smileshot and face recognition are also available, which I highly appreciated.

Samsung Pixon review

The quality of the pictures is still not as good as that of a compact camera and do not live up to the expectations Samsung has created with this Pixon cameraphone. Although the photos are quite nice indeed, they are certainly not able to blow your socks off just yet.
