Nokia N96 review conclusion
The versatile Nokia N96 mobile phone
The Nokia N96 is a sleek and versatile mobile phone. The Symbian operating system enables installing additional software, although this operating system also causes the N96 to slow down slightly. The 5.0 Megapixel digital camera takes excellent pictures and the settings are easy and widely available. One huge disadvantage is the fact that the camera mode is too slow and the shutter release of such poor quality that it should be redesigned, as far as I am concerned. The mobile television function is new for Nokia, and it is a neat addition to the N96 mobile phone. A reasonable amount of TV channels with an excellent quality can be received, even reading the subtitles is easy. Internet works fast and there are many connection options.

Nokia N96 multimedia phone
The internal memory of 16GB enables direct storing of your media on the Nokia N96. To enable navigation, the built-in GPS with Nokia Maps application is available, although it requires a license, which has to be purchased prior to using the GPS. All in all, it is a nice mobile phone except for some minor nuisances such as the shutter release button and the slow menu. If we look solely at its predecessor, the Nokia N95 8GB, not many additions have been added, only the mobile television function and a larger internal memory. A nice addition to Nokia's portfolio, and if they direct some attention to the necessary improvements, we will be happy to review the Nokia N97, or whatever the successor to this model will be called, too.
