Nokia 8800 Test conclusion
T he classical, neat design of the Nokia 8800 Arte is timeless. The built-in sensor to measure ambient light ensures an optimum adjustment of the bright screen, and simply turning the phone face down makes you refuse an incoming call or shut down the alarm. Tapping on the phone twice makes an analogue clock appear and just as the main menu, the standby mode can be fully adjusted to the preferences of the user. You can say that flexibility is the ultimate key word and strongest point of the Nokia 8800 Arte and this is what gives the phone the optimal user’s ease. In the field of multimedia, the Nokia 8800 Arte keeps nicely in pace with the competition. The 3.2 Megapixel digital camera takes pictures of reasonable quality but only in optimum light circumstances. The 8x digital zoom is nice, but I would have preferred an optical zoom here. Pictures, videos and music files can be stored flawlessly into the Nokia Arte's internal memory of 1GB. Nokia did not hold back on inventing entertaining additional functions such as the 'size converter' and the less reliable 'translator'. In short, the classy design, the enhanced functions and flexibility make the Nokia 8800 Arte stand out in the mobile phone crowd.
