Nokia BT-6MT battery

The Nokia N81 8GB uses a 1050 mAh Nokia BT-6MT battery. According to Nokia this battery lasts for a standby time of seventeen days and a talk-time of four hours. When the phone is not used, the standby time is correct, but I think that everybody plays with his mobile once in a while. In my case a standby time of approximately ten days was what I experienced. With frequent photographing the cell phone lasts for about two hours.

NGage games for Nokia phones

Some time ago, Nokia put the new N-Gage games on the market. When you purchase the Nokia N81 8GB you will have the possibility to try out a few of these games. The Nokia N-Gage games look extremely good. They level with games for the Nintendo DS light or a Sony PSP as far as graphics are concerned. The Nokia N81 8GB comes with demos of the car racing game Asphalt 3 and the football game FIFA 2007. You have the option of purchasing other N-Gage games through an Internet connection. And you can also purchase the full versions of Asphalt 3 and FIFA 2007.

Nokia PC Suite software

The Nokia N81 8GB includes Nokia PC Suite software. You can connect the Nokia N81 8GB to a computer via Bluetooth or via USB. Both connections are fast and the phone is recognized by the computer. Nokia PC suite software lets you edit your contacts, write messages, manage multimedia files and copy files and contacts to your mobile phone. This ensures you don't have to insert everything again after an update and all personal files remain saved.

Symbian S60 OS software

Nokia S60 software is increasingly integrated in mobile phones. Nowadays there are more manufacturers as ever using the Nokia Symbian OS S60 software. Recently Samsung introduced the G810 and almost simultaneously LG launched the KT610. Both handsets have been equipped with Nokia Symbian S60 software. The main feature of Nokia Symbian S60 software is that it allows new applications to be installed. It enables turning your cell phone into a dictionary or news reader. Many applications can be downloaded directly from the cell phone while others have to be purchased through the Internet.
