Philips GoGear Settings
Philips GoGear multimedia player
The general settings of the GoGear media player can be adjusted through the 'Settings' menu. The equalizer offers some six music styles to choose from and manual adjustment is possible. In the same menu the amount of time a picture stays on the monitor in a slideshow can be changed here. Furthermore there are eighteen different languages to choose from. The brightness and background light can be adjusted manually although these settings were perfect when we received the device. Besides that the screen saver can be turned off and you can choose to render date and time as screen saver. Other settings that can be adjusted here are date and time, radio settings and default settings.
Philips GoGear Review Conclusion
Philips GoGear SA6185 Test
The Philips multimedia player GoGear SA6185 has a price-tag of more than 200 Euros. It seems a lot of money for a media player but the GoGear is certainly not an entry-level model. Thanks to the 3.5-inch LCD monitor and the integrated speakers it is a pleasure to watch a movie without getting annoyed with staring at a too small screen. The included software is simple to use and the media converter is extremely handy. The sound quality of the speakers is not too good unfortunately but it's still a nice addition compared to many other media players. The monitor is of high quality and the modern design of the Philips GoGear media player justifies the high price. In short, the Philips GoGear SA6185 is an excellent media player with a stack of functionalities for a reasonable price. LetsGoMobile's tip: with an extra 50 Euros you can purchase an iPod touch.
