Nokia N82 conclusion

T he Nokia N82 is a well thought-out camera phone. A true multimedia device despite the fact it drops a stitch here and there. The camera settings could have been more enhanced. For example, the possibility of adjusting the compression is lacking. I would also have liked to have seen face detection, image stabilizer, and even more important, an optical zoom installed in the N82. As we were already afraid of, Nokia's claim that the N82 can easily substitute a normal digital camera did not hold. It is however a step in the right direction, and it makes me curious what its successor (maybe the N83?) will bring... The image quality is fine especially in well-lit circumstances. Getting rid of the auto focus lag will put this cameraphone on the right track to serve as a replacement for a normal digital camera. The integration of the navigation software is nice, but it is a pity that the navigation software has to be purchased on top of the relatively expensive handset.

Nokia N82 review

The Nokia N82 is recommended for everybody desiring a mobile phone with an abundance of functions, high-resolution picture taking functionality and who does not care so much about the size of the device.
