The Samsung G800 is standard delivered with Samsung PC Suite software. This software offers the possibility of connecting your phone through USB or Bluetooth with a computer. Once connected it offers the possibility of synchronizing your handset with the computer in order to get your email settings on your handset. When the cell phone is connected through Samsung PC software it is a piece of cake to manage files like photos, music, ringtones and documents.

The connection of my notebook through USB was reasonably fast; transferring 100MB took around 3.5 minutes. Through Bluetooth it was somewhat slower; the same amount was copied onto my notebook in 4 minutes. Transferring files to a computer is easy. The mobile phone is recognized automatically from where It is easy to open maps or copy certain files.

T he menu of the Samsung G800 is quite similar to the menus on other Samsung cell phones. Here we can find the settings for adjusting the monitor and the sound for example. The Samsung G800 is UMTS/HSDPA enabled and therefore offering access to the mobile Internet. You will also notice this in the menu. Samsung chose to integrate Internet and Google as separate segments in the menu. This enables you to navigate fast and easily on the Internet for example to search for items.

T he SGH-G800 houses an enhanced multimedia player. The Samsung G800 in combination with for instance a 2GB microSD memory card will offer you a real multimedia centre. Music as well as videos can be played on the Samsung G800. The included earplugs produce an excellent sound of high quality. I did find the earplugs’ fit somewhat dreadful. The earplugs are not ergonomically designed and it is worth purchasing a different headset. When you are tired of listening to your own music, you can always turn on the radio.
