The material used for the Mandarina phone feels kind of special. Slightly harsh, as if touching rubber material, but on the other hand it is very smooth. I am aware of the fact that this description will lead to the wildest speculations but I am only sharing my feelings about this material. The front of the Mandarina handset carries the brand name in small letters. The back of the mobile phone is ornamented with a large duck logo, the logo of Mandarina Duck. This may seem a minor detail for the fashion layman among us, but for the fashion-conscious trend follower it makes all the difference; it is the distinguishing factor of the Mandarina Duck Mobile Pack.

The side of the Mandarina mobile phone carries a cover that hides the memory compartment. The cell phone offers support for the microSD but with a maximum storage capacity of 1GB, according to the official specifications. However; it would not surprise me if the 2GB also functions without a problem. The SD 2.0 is probably not standard supported so application of the SDHC format (Secure Digital High Capacity) is not possible. microSD memory cards are available up until 2GB and up to 4GB and later higher capacities of the SDHC versions.

The other side of the Mandarina Duck Mobile Pack carries the same cover nicely blending in with the housing of the mobile phone, but here it hides a USB interface. Although the fast USB 2.0 Hi-Speed is becoming quite common, the Mandarina Duck design phone is equipped with a USB 2.0 Full Speed. This is not a problem in itself while the maximum data is 2GB so no extra waiting time is expected. For those who do prefer speed will probably go for the fast SanDisk USB 2.0 Hi-Speed card reader. A device like that reads the data on the memory card with high speed and transfers the data quickly to a computer or notebook (naturally they need to be equipped with fast interfaces too).

The Lithium Ion battery of the Mandarina Duck phone seems to be glued to the back of it and fits seamless into the design of the mobile phone. The Lithium Ion battery has a capacity of 3.7V 750mAh and delivers around 7 hours of talk-time when fully loaded and some 300 hours of standby time. Beside the standard multimedia equipment formed by an MP3 player supporting MP3, M4a, AAC and AAC+ format, the phone is also equipped with a VGA camera. It might be clear that this design cell phone is not a high-spec phone but relies on its beautiful colour, design and used material of the housing that make it irresistible.
