HTC TouchFLO technology
HTC TouchFLO phones
The TouchFLO technique is improved or rather; enhanced with extra functionalities. Such as: enabling zooming in and out on pictures, turning them and starting a slide show with 'touch controls'. Besides the visual 20-key onscreen keyboard, the Touch Dual also offers a physical keyboard that appears when sliding the mobile phone to open it. During the presentation of the first generation TouchFLO phones the comparison was soon made with the shortly before that time introduced iPhone in the States. At first Mark Moons was not happy about this direct comparison and prioritized the product itself. Now that the HTC Touch Dual has been introduced and even more important, is quickly available, one is open to the resemblance with the iPhone.
HTC Touch Dual versus Apple iPhone
HTC Touch Dual versus Apple iPhone
According to Mark Moons: "Firstly the iPhone is still not available in the Netherlands and won't be for the rest of 2007. And I can already announce that the HTC will introduce a third HTC Touch generation mobile phone before the iPhone will actually be available in the Netherlands." When we compare the iPhone to the new HTC Touch Dual we find that the latter has some interesting features in its advantage compared to the iPhone and the HTC Touch. The HTC Touch Dual offers EDGE, 3G and HSDPA speeds whereas the other two models offer EDGE and WiFi. Besides that the HTC Touch Dual offers a real keyboard, which is a great plus, instead of the onscreen one of the other two. HTC S730
HTC P6500 business phone
I n addition to the second generation Touch, HTC also introduce the new S730, the Shift and the P6500 business phone. The HTC P6500 could not be demonstrated yet because of its early preproduction status. The size of the P6500 directly shows that it is not a consumer product but a merely business orientated product. A feature of this new HTC P6500 is the maximum support for communication through GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, GPS/aGPS and WiFi. Furthermore; the hand set is equipped with a powerful Qualcom 7200 chipset with a speed of 400Mhz and 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM memory. It offers 1GB standard built-in flash memory that can even be enhanced thanks to the dual SDIO card slots that support Secure Digital format memory cards amongst others. The HTC P6500 is operated by Windows Mobile 6 Professional. Our HTC S730 preview offers all information about the HTC S730.
HTC smartphone assortment
The HTC assortment gained another addition and HTC can now concentrate on the commercial side of the job. Mark Moons likes to add that HTC will start focussing on mobile email in the near future. They will work together with KPN and the aim is to establish HTC even further and more evident.
