SanDisk Sansa C250 - Menu

A fter playing around with the Sansa C250 for a while you will soon discover how the menu is organized. Pressing up or down will take you to the main menu so that you can choose from Music, Voice, Photo and Options. If you press to the right the chosen menu will open up, giving you many options. In the Music menu you can play everything, or all music by a certain artist or album. Of course you can also play single numbers, and there is an option to make your own playlist. Voice recording can also be played via the ‘Music’ option in the menu. Personally I would have found it more logical if the voice recordings would have been placed in the Voice menu. Slideshows can be shown via the Photo menu option. You can also set how long it should take between photos, a handy extra option! Furthermore, the SanDisk Sansa C250’s menu has a setting ‘Options’ where several settings such as the brightness of the display, your language preference, and the volume and equalizer can be adjusted.

I can only be positive about the sound quality of the SanDisk Sansa C250 MP3 player. The earphones are high quality and fit nicely in your ear. The sound quality is clear and it can be further optimized with the equalizer setting. The volume is easy to control; from soft to really loud, and everything in between.

The Sansa C250 is a MP3 player, you can therefore not expect as good results when viewing photos from a 3.6cm screen as from a digital camera or computer. Still, I had expected a higher resolution from the SanDisk Sansa C250. Also rotating photos on the MP3 player is not possible, you have to make sure that vertical photos are rotated on the MP3 player, otherwise the image will be very small.

Via the Voice menu you make your own sound recordings via the internal microphone. This works very easily, you just click on the play button and you can even push pause in between. Afterwards you will be asked if you wish to save the recording or not. The quality of the voice recordings is surprisingly good; background noise is dimmed so that the voice is of good quality.

SanDisk Sansa - Uploading Music & Photos

There are a few standard songs and photos on the SanDisk Sansa C250 MP3 player to begin with, but of course you want to be able to upload your own music and photos. Using a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connection this is no problem at all, within no time you can upload music and photo files to your Sansa player. Via the computer you can make new folders. The only drawback is that once they are uploaded to your Sansa player, you cannot change the names.
