LG KE850 Prada - Menu

With a simple push on the touch screen, you will get into the menu of the LG Prada. The menu is operated easily and innovative. The most important functions can be found without any problems. The graphic design of the menu is good and makes sure that all pictograms and the matching functions will be presented clearly. The size of the monitor makes sure that the icons can be read well. For the menu’s operation, the touch screen is very convenient. The menu structure has been constructed well and is very orderly because of that. Those who have a little knowledge of mobiles will find the more advanced functions in the menu easily.

LG KE850 Prada - MP3 Player

The MP3 player of the LG Prada is easy to use and operation is intuitive. You can classify the files in different folders, this way it will be easy to find the desired music files quickly. Unfortunately these files are not added to the standard playlist. You can play them immediately, but in this case you will not be able to play the MP3 player on the background. The FM radio works well. The automated channel search function is reasonably reliable and after searching you can tune in the channels a bit more. Both the MP3 player and the FM radio have a fine sound quality and also the standard headphones are of good quality.

With a small button, the flap for the battery can be removed. Behind this flap you will find an 800mAh battery which, according to LG, should be good for 300 hours stand-by time and 3 hours conversation time. It is hard to determine if these times are exactly correct. The stand-by time is more or less correct, after 12 days of not using the telephone; I had to recharge it again. I think that with a normal every-day-use the LG Prada needs to be recharged every two or three days. Behind the battery flap you can also find the sim card and the microSD memory card. The sim card can be removed without having to take out the battery, for the memory card you will first have to remove the battery. I would have liked to see this the other way around, for the memory card gets removed more often than the sim card.

LG KE850 Prada - Monitor

The monitor of the LG Prada is a 3-inch touch screen with a 240 x 400 pixels resolution. You can recognize everything well on the monitor of the LG Prada, the colors look good. When using the touch screen monitor in clear sunlight everything can still be recognized very well. Although, when using the LG Prada in bright sunlight, it becomes almost impossible to recognize anything on the touch screen monitor. In the dark, the monitor works excellent, I was very happy with the adaptable brightness setting. The touch screen monitor is really an innovative solution; once you’re used to the monitor, it is easy and quick to use.
