Orange announced the availability of the HTC Touch Diamond in its Signature devices range. Orange has selected the HTC Diamond cell phone as the first platform for its latest multimedia services, using the phone's rich 3D-graphics engine and powerful mobile internet capabilities to deliver enhanced applications and services, including Orange Photo, Orange Music, Orange TV and Orange Downloads.

Orange has signed an agreement with Xiam Technologies, for the provision of its My Personal Offers System which will give customers Real Time recommendations. MPOS will help Orange World Portal customers to discover personalised content that is relevant to their own specific interests. MPOS will ensure Orange customers discover and consume a broad range of content and services that are both relevant and meaningful based on their unique profiles. For example a football fan could expect to be offered 'FIFA 2007' game and a 'Chelsea' wallpaper, then be presented more subtle, unexpected recommendations based on usage patterns identified by MPOS and filtered according to individual user profiles.

The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of the telecommunications company Orange Netherlands by T-Mobile Netherlands, belonging to the Deutsche Telekom group. The Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it. T-Mobile Netherlands is a Dutch Mobile Network Operator ("MNO") ultimately controlled by Deutsche Telekom. Its mobile arm T-Mobile International concentrates on mobile telecommunications markets in Western and Central Europe and the United States.

Orange Business Services is launching Secure Mobile Pass, a secured access option to Business Everywhere, a range of mobility solutions. Secure Mobile Pass enables secure access to corporate applications through any device, including unmanaged ones such as PCs located in cybercafés or at home. Secure Mobile Pass is therefore a convenient solution for mobile employees since a simple Internet connection is sufficient to access company resources securely. Security policy can be applied on a per-user basis instead of a per-device basis, ensuring that corporate resources remains protected without creating a barrier to legitimate access for employees.

Envivio Inc. and GlobeCast announce that they have reached a deal with Orange to deliver high-quality MPEG-4 television broadcasts to its mobile TV subscribers in France. The new solution, based at GlobeCast’s Paris technical operations center, features the Envivio mobile TV headend - comprised of the 4Caster M2 encoders, winner of the Frost & Sullivan Product Innovation Award, and the 4Manager network management system. By deploying the H.263/H.264 Envivio mobile TV headend, GlobeCast will be able to provide Orange with the highest quality live television and radio services to any mobile device, from GPRS to HSDPA, in its subscriber network.

Orange announced its first converged service - Unique phone, a single handset that offers all the benefits and convenience of a mobile phone, while offering unlimited calls to landlines and Orange mobiles when you are at home. The phone will be available to Orange customers in the UK, France, the Netherlands, Spain and Poland. Each market will tailor its proposition to meet the specific needs of customers in that territory.
