The popular mobile internet site Nokia mobi has extended its offering with the launch of Here and Now, a new section that provides the latest world news, music, celebrity buzz, as well as information on Nokia services and products. Bookmarked in every new Nokia mobile device, Nokia mobi is accessed by millions of consumers across the globe. "By providing quality content to consumers from partners such as Reuters and Rollingstone, Here and Now allows consumers to get more out of Nokia mobi and mobile services in general," said Juha Rytkönen, Director of the Nokia mobile internet site.

In an event held last week in Nanjing (China), Nokia unveiled the Nokia 6208c handset, a new pen input device which caters for a number of different customers, specifically those in China. The touch screen on the Nokia 6208c mobile phone is optimized to write Chinese characters and messages in the most natural way, with a pen. The design of the stylus, attached to the back of the Nokia 6208c phone, is inspired by bamboo slips and works perfectly with the large color display which is reminiscent of an ink stone, another element from traditional Chinese art and culture. All these design cues are implemented using premium materials such as the stainless steel back cover, which makes the handset both easy to use and comfortable to hold.

Nokia announced that it has expanded its Supernova cell phone range with fresh, new colours reflecting the latest runway trends, as well as enhanced new services. The Nokia Supernova 7610, 7510, 7310 and 7210 cell phones are now available in additional colours including Graphite and Passionate Purple. Building on the existing music and entertainment experiences offered by the Nokia Supernova handset range, the enhanced services let people share their images and video with friends through Ovi Share, as well as keep up to date with friends via Nokia Maps and instant messaging with Windows Live Messenger.

It is becoming more and more difficult for current manufacturers to put a unique mobile phone into the market. Many cell phones are equal when it comes to their functionality, and there are only minor differences between current models and their successors. Unlike a few years ago, when mobile phones were gradually taking on more functionalities of other devices. These new models definitely made a difference at the time.
