Nokia unveils a new addition to its E-series smartphones, the Nokia E55, which is the first to ship with the company's new email user interface. The Nokia E55 mobile phone also comes standard with Nokia Messaging that, when added to the company's corporate email clients, gives people the most efficient solution for accessing the world's consumer and corporate email on the go. "With the Nokia E55 handset we have made messaging as efficient and pocketable as possible," continues Oistamo. "In our usage tests, the Nokia E55's compact QWERTY keyboard has been proven to be fast to learn and quicker to use than standard phone keypads."

Nokia is proud to announce its new arrival, the Nokia 6720 classic, which builds on the Nokia heritage of traditional candybar phones that excel in all areas. The recent integration of Maps with Ovi allows people to pre-plan their journey at home on their PC and synchronize with their mobile device. Additionally, Maps has been updated to include a number of new features such as high-resolution aerial images, 3D landmarks for over 200 cities, terrain maps, weather service, premium travel and events content and traffic and safety warnings. The Nokia 6720 classic cell phone includes a compass, working in conjunction with the new features of Maps, the pedestrian navigation experience has been significantly improved.

Since the first Nokia Navigator mobile phone made its appearance two years ago, the company has been updating and improving its location based GPS services steadily and has now introduced the latest arrival in its Navigator cell phone line-up, the Nokia 6710 Navigator. "The mobile GPS navigation solution provided by the Nokia 6710 Navigator handset is second to none and provides everything you would expect from a dedicated mobile GPS device with all the benefits of a converged mobile device," says Markku Suomi, vice president at Nokia.

Nokia introduced at the CES Show 2009 the Nokia 1006 budget cell phone - the latest CDMA handset for AWS carriers, developed in Nokia's San Diego product creation center.
