New Nintendo 2DS XL video game system launched - The Nintendo 3DS family of portable game systems will soon be adding a new gaming device. On July 28, 2017, new Nintendo 2DS XL game system makes its debut in the United States at a suggested retail price of $149.99. The Nintendo 2DS XL gaming device gives consumers a third choice of hand-held game systems, one that offers pricing and features that fit between the Nintendo 2DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL systems. The new Nintendo 2DS XL will launch on the same day as two big new games for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems: Hey! PIKMIN and Miitopia.

Nintendo Switch price & availability announced - Nintendo announced that the new Nintendo Switch system will launch worldwide on March 3, 2017 at a suggested retail price of $299.99 in the United States. The system will include the main console, Joy-Con (L) and Joy-Con (R) controllers, a Joy-Con grip (to which two Joy-Con are attached and used as one controller), a set of Joy-Con wrist straps, a Nintendo Switch dock (which holds the main console and connects it to a TV), an HDMI cable and an AC adapter. Two stylish versions of Nintendo Switch will be released: a version with a set of gray Joy-Con, and a version with one neon blue and one neon red Joy-Con. Both versions will be the same price.

Nintendo Super Mario Run for Apple iPhone and iPad - The first-ever mobile game featuring the most iconic video game hero of all time goes on sale for iPhone and iPad on Dec. 15 in United States time zones. Super Mario Run can be downloaded from the App Store at no cost, and players can try elements of the game’s three modes for free. Once the game has been downloaded, a one-time payment of $9.99 (United States price) will grant unlimited access to each of the three modes in this release.

New Nintendo 3DS XL game system - A big year for the Nintendo 3DS game system is about to get even bigger. In a Nintendo Direct video on June 21, Nintendo revealed plans to launch Nintendo 3DS XL, a new and bigger version of Nintendo 3DS with 90% larger displays. The Nintendo 3DS XL battery life outperforms that of the original Nintendo 3DS game system, and the 3DS XL comes bundled with a 4GB Secure Digital memory card, which owners can use to save content such as downloadable games and videos from the popular Nintendo eShop. The Nintendo 3DS XL game system will launch on Aug. 19, the same day as New Super Mario Bros. 2, a new installment in the fan-favorite Mario game series.

Style Savvy players with broadband Internet access will soon be able to download five designs from the real-life Deréon clothing line co-created by Beyoncé and her mother, designer Tina Knowles.
