LG introduces the LG Optimus 2X, the world’s first Android Smartphone with a dual-core processor. T-Mobile and Samsung Mobile revealed the Samsung Galaxy S 4G Smartphone, exclusively from T-Mobile. According to T-Mobile, the new Samsung Galaxy S 4G will be the fastest Smartphone running on America’s Largest 4G Network. Verizon Wireless and Motorola Mobile unveiled the Motorola Xoom Tablet - the first device on Google’s new Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system designed from the ground up for tablets. The Honeycomb user experience improves on Android favourites such as widgets, multi-tasking, browsing, notifications and customization and features the latest Google Mobile innovations. Boasting a dual core processor with each core running at 1 GHz, delivering up to two GHz of processing power, and 10.1-inch widescreen HD display, Motorola Xoom gives Verizon Wireless customers a new type of mobile computing experience on a stylishly thin device that is 4G LTE upgradeable.

Research In Motion and Sprint announced plans to launch a new BlackBerry PlayBook tablet model featuring connectivity to the blazingly fast Sprint 4G network. The 4G BlackBerry PlayBook will be the first BlackBerry PlayBook model to include wide area wireless connectivity, featuring Sprint 4G to give customers download speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G. This new 4G BlackBerry PlayBook is expected to be available from Sprint in the summer. Together, the 4G BlackBerry PlayBook and the Sprint 4G network will provide a high performance platform that will enable a mobile services revolution for both application developers and customers.

Garmin announced that its 2011 Consumer Electronics Show product line-up is one of its most diverse ever and is designed to emphasize the different ways GPS can be used across all facets of life. “We’ve always said that GPS can benefit everyone, but no single solution satisfies all people,” said Cliff Pemble, Garmin’s president and COO. “In the days when GPS was still in its infancy, we envisioned creating a wide range of products that would help consumers, mariners, and pilots pinpoint positions and navigate to destinations.

Garmin announced the Nuvi 2400 series of personal navigation devices, featuring a large five-inch display and a new range of optional features like voice-activated navigation, lifetime traffic and map updates, and advanced route planning and calculation with Garmin’s nüRoute technology. The Garmin Nuvi 2400 series is comprised of four models: the Garmin Nuvi 2460LMT, Garmin Nuvi 2460LT, Garmin Nuvi 2450LM, and the Garmin Nuvi 2450. All new Garmin Nuvi GPS ystsems featuring voice activated navigation let users control their GPS navigation system by voice, so they can keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.

Garmin announced that it is entering a new market - personal and property tracking - with the introduction of its innovative Garmin GTU10 GPS locator and web-based Garmin Tracker service for personal computers, smartphones and compatible Garmin nüLink devices. The new Garmin GTU10 GPS handheld will be showcased in the Garmin booth (South Hall #35831) at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Kodak announced the next generation of its award-winning Kodak Pulse Digital Frame. The popular wireless frame with its own e-mail address now has an extra shot of social - allowing you to comment on the pictures you receive from friends and family the moment you receive them.
