LG launched its LG KF700, a new multimedia phone that combines three input methods to create an amazingly intuitive user interface and provides instant access to features. The LG KF700 cellular is the first mobile phone to integrate three separate input methods, including a 3-inch touch screen, alpha-numeric keypad and Shortcut Dial. Each of these input methods is assigned to the tasks at which it is most best suited, creating a user-optimized interface and making all of the phone’s functions and features instantly accessible.

LG Electronics and DivX, a digital media company, announced that the LG Viewty camera phone, also called LG KU990, is the first mobile phone with DivX Certification to natively record video in the high quality DivX format. The LG Viewty enables consumers to capture high-resolution video, comparable in quality to what they would expect from a video camera, on their mobile phones, DivX videos recorded through the LG Viewty can easily be uploaded to online video sites or can be played back on any DivX Certified consumer electronics device, including DVD players, gaming consoles and portable media players.

At the 2008 International CES here this week, LG Electronics is demonstrating products that incorporate new circuitry for receiving the robust ATSC-compatible MPH (Mobile-Pedestrian-Handheld) signals. Developed by LG Electronics, its U.S. R&D subsidiary Zenith and Harris Corporation, MPH is capable of providing robust over-the-air DTV signals to mobile, pedestrian and handheld devices. The prototype MPH products showcased at CES (in private demonstrations and in the LG Electronics booth #8214, Central Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center) include mobile phones, personal DTVs, laptop PCs and in-car infotainment systems.

LG Electronics is showcasing new portable navigation devices at CES Show. The new LG navigation models are preloaded with 2D and 3D maps of the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico and offer turn-by-turn text-to-speech voice guidance. The touch-screen displays feature day and night modes to make viewing a snap.
