And every time there is another new mobile phone out there that needs our attention. This time it is the so called “iPhone killer” from LG, the LG KU990. According to information that is not confirmed by LG or Vodafone we may expect the LG KU990 to be accompanied by Vodafone in the UK. The LG 990 is a camphone with a high sensor resolution of 5 Megapixels, image stabilisation, Schneider-Kreuznach lens and a XENON flash. Furthermore expect auto focus, 3G HSDPA, 170MB internal memory, a 240 x 400 touchscreen and a high sensitivity setting for the enthusiastic digital photographer.

Virgin Mobile USA, a top provider of no-annual-contract wireless phone services targeted at the youth market, bids a warm welcome to the first LG Electronics handset to join its line-up, as the new Aloha cell phone makes its way to Virgin Mobile retailers across the U.S. this month. With a sleek clamshell design and metallic finish, the Aloha comes equipped with all the essentials, from real-music ringtones to multi-messaging capabilities - at an attractive price point for all Virgin Mobile customers. Virgin Mobile will also be working with its major retail partners across the country on extensive point-of-sale promotion and merchandising campaigns for the Aloha.

LG Electronics, a worldwide technology leader in mobile communications, and YouTube, the leading online video community that allows people to discover, watch and share originally created videos, announced an agreement to provide YouTube services on its handsets, allowing users to view videos and easily upload them directly to YouTube website. For upcoming YouTube-enabled handsets, LG will apply a new user interface for easily accessing and uploading video content. LG’s YouTube-enabled handsets will be available worldwide starting at end of this year.

Alltel Wireless, America’s largest network, makes waves this summer with the introduction of the Wave by LG. The phone, exclusively available at Alltel Wireless retail stores and its web site, has a rolling design that mimics the curl of a wave as the deep colors fade into black. The phone includes a 1.3 MP camera with video capabilities, MP3 player with external controls, expandable memory slot, Bluetooth technology and is GPS capable. It also comes preloaded with Alltel Axcess features such as Axcess TV and Axcess Search. Customers can also download games, ringtones and more via Alltel’s Axcess Shop.

Sprint and LG Electronics MobileComm USA, Inc. (LG Mobile Phones) announced the upcoming availability of a new music phone that provides customers with the ability to quickly and easily experience music on the go - LG Muziq. This innovative device comes packed with industry-leading features, including over-the-air song downloads, a 4GB microSD memory card slot and a built-in FM transmitter allowing customers to listen to their tunes wirelessly through any FM radio within 10 feet. Operating on the Sprint Mobile Broadband network, LG Muziq provides easy access to Sprint’s exclusive multimedia content.

Skyworks Solutions, an innovator of high performance analog and mixed signal semiconductors enabling mobile connectivity, announced that it is supporting LG Electronics’ ramp of its record-selling Shine handset. The Shine, which is LG’s second model from its Black Label Series, is leveraging the SKY77340, a highly integrated quad-band EDGE power amplifier - used to support the world’s largest markets in Europe and the United States. Skyworks’ modules are also being utilized across LG’s GPRS and CDMA Chocolate phones, which have sold ten million units globally since the end of 2005. LG’s Shine weighs a mere 115 grams, stemming from its unique stainless steel material base.
