Korean LG launches new G6 Plus and updates LG G6 smartphone - Starting next month, LG is expanding the capabilities of its highly regarded G6 smartphone with an enhanced security option and user-friendlier features. New capabilities in the form of Face Print, Low Power Consumption and Covered Lens warning will be introduced to existing devices via a software update and included in all new LG G6 units sold. In addition to these upgrades, LG is introducing a new version of the G6, the LG G6+, featuring additional storage and premium sound.

New LG flagship smartphone to offer one-handed operability - LG has released design-details from their flagship handset which is set to be released in the upcoming days. Iindustrial designer, Torsten Valeur, praised the attractive design and convenient user experience of the new flagship LG G6 in a recent interview. He touted the G6 as "the ideal fusion of...beautiful shape and clever solution and obviously great user experience...the essence of what a smartphone is." The eye is naturally drawn to the display, as all unnecessary distractions have been eliminated. The FullVision display is made possible by the phone's 80% screen to body ratio that is complemented by narrow bezels, sculpted from aluminum and glass.

LG K Series smartphones - LG Electronics unveiled four new mass-tier K Series smartphones at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, as the mid-range segment continues its strong growth as the market matures. The new mid-range devices are designed to bring popular, best-in-class technologies from LG’s more premium flagship smartphones, such as the 120-degree wide angle front camera lens and the rear fingerprint scanner. LG’s updated K Series carries over the original philosophy that all customers do not want the same things in a smartphone. Rather than offering one main smartphone model and expecting customers to adapt, the K Series was designed with the diverse needs of consumers in mind.

LG Stylus 3 midrange Android smartphone - LG Electronics unveiled the third generation Stylus 3 at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, its the latest version of its mid-range Stylus smartphone (Stylo in the United States). The LG Stylus 3 delivers an improved writing experience with a 1.8mm diameter fiber-tip stylus to provide the feel and feedback of an actual pen when writing on the screen. The LG Stylus 3 also features a fingerprint scanner and enhanced UX with Pen Pop 2.0 as well as the popular Pen Keeper and Screen-off Memo. With Pen Pop 2.0, your memos are never out of sight and can be set to display on the screen whenever the stylus is removed. Pen Keeper displays a warning when the stylus strays too far from the phone.

First Android Nougat-based smartphone launched by LG. LG Electronics confirms that its next flagship smartphone will be the first device to feature Android 7.0 Nougat. The LG V20 builds upon the premium and rich multimedia smartphone experience of last year’s LG V10. It will be tuned to take advantage of many of the best features of Nougat, including Vulkan-supported graphics for more immersive gaming while also delivering better battery performance with Doze. Consumers will also enjoy new productivity features such as Direct Reply, which lets users respond quickly to text messages or update tasks using the notification interface. The LG V20 will begin shipping in the third quarter.

New LG X-series smartphones - LG again expands its X-series line-up with two new devices. The LG X5 and X5 Skin are quite similar to the recently launched LG X Power. Both are midrange smartphones with a plastic body. The phones run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. For now, the X5 and X5 Skin are only officially launched in South Korea, but based on the pace of introductions we can say LG aims high with its new X-series.

Four new LG X-series Android-based phones announced -LG Electronics has presented four new X series smartphones that share many of the top end features found on LG’s flagship G and V series smart phones. The LG X power, X Mach, X Style and X Max join the exiting LG X Cam and X Screen to bring additional depth and options to LG’s lineup of mass-tier offerings. These new Android-based smartphones will start rolling out later this month in markets around the world. Each new mobile handset in the X series lineup have a unique feature which is matched to a specific user need or interest, such as greater battery capacity, faster processor, more sophisticated styling or a larger display.

LG Mobile introduces Stylus 2 Plus smartphone - The LG Stylus 2 Plus, the latest edition of its large-format Stylus series, begins its global rollout with its launch today in Taiwan. The LG Stylus 2 Plus will make its way to customers in other key markets in Asia, South America, Europe and North America in the weeks to come. While the design remains consistent with the original LG Stylus 2, the smartphone features significantly better performance than its original cousin. At its heart is a faster 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor, a sharper 5.7-inch Full HD IPS display and higher resolution 16 megapixel rear camera, with a flash on both sides for clearer photos and videos in low light.
